Halogen-Free Flame Retardant Additives

Halogen-free flame retardants designed to enhance fire safety in polymers and composites while minimizing smoke, toxicity, and environmental impact. Suitable for polyolefins, engineering plastics, and electronic materials.
  • This halogen-free flame-retardant system is formulated with phosphorus–nitrogen synergistic components, combining an acid source, gas source, and carbon source to support an intumescent, char-forming flame-retardant mechanism.

Under suitable formulations, it can help polyolefins and glass-fiber-reinforced polyolefins achieve UL 94 V-0 (1.5 mm) performance, and it is designed to meet GWIT 750 °C and GWFI 960 °C test requirements.

The material is developed in accordance with RoHS / Directive 2002/95/EC standards for electrical and electronic applications.

    Key Advantages

    1. Environmentally friendly performance

Halogen-free, low smoke, low toxicity, and compliant with global environmental regulations.

    2. Excellent processing stability

No moisture-slipping or die-drool issues during extrusion; stable processing window.

    3. High efficiency with low addition Low dosage required; finished compounds offer consistent color, lower density, and excellent mechanical properties.

    4. Strong solid-phase flame retardancy

High phosphorus content enhances char formation, improving flame retardancy in PP, PE,and PO-based materials.

    5. Improved powder flow & compatibility

Optimized particle design ensures good flowability, dispersion, and compatibility with polyolefin resins.
